There are many factors in the decoration of an office, but the office desk is undoubtedly one of the most important elements of the decoration of an office. Office desks define the style of the environment and determine the aesthetic and functional requirements. The desk is the focal point of office furniture, from the operating sections to the executive rooms. In addition to beauty, the ideal office desk should be big enough to place monitors, keyboards, and other useful tools, with enough space for each file.

Suitable office desk

Employees and managers spend a lot of time at the desk, so it is very important to have a functional desk that, in addition to beauty appropriate to the workplace, fits perfectly with all their needs. For example, a workstation desk with appropriate configuration can be used to fit the environment.

The most common desks in offices are rectangular desks designed for people who work full-time with a computer. These desks are often equipped with drawers, trolleys or metal CPU holder and electric boxes.

Executive desks have a similar purpose, but aesthetically, they are designed to be more purposeful than administrative desks. This type of desk is used in the management room. These desks are more important to show the elegance and style of the company in front of customers, sales representatives and partners. For this reason, executive desks are made of high quality materials. The classic wooden office desk gives the room an elegant look and is a combination of beauty and ease of storing various items.

Today, office desks are equipment, at which most working hours are spent. In their design, in addition to aesthetic aspects, their functionality must also be considered. Using creativity, along with the need to increase the intelligence and multi-functionality of the workplace, can help in the optimal design of office furniture and in particular, office desks. In addition, principles of ergonomics and employee health should not be overlooked in designing office desks.

Office and ergonomic desks

One of the most important elements for choosing the right desk is its ergonomics. Employees spend most of their time in the office. Therefore, it is necessary to follow the rules of ergonomics. Adherence to ergonomic principles helps employees’ health and thus increases their efficiency and performance. It is very important that the length of the desk should be such that we can use the keyboard without fatigue and back injury. According to this principle, the minimum dimensions of a rectangular desk to maintain sufficient depth for keyboards, monitors and documents is 120 cm in length and 80 cm in height.
